HI! 4 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
My name is Amber, I finished the CNA course at PPCC in April 08. I'm scheduled to take the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program Exam on July 19th in Denver, CO. After working as a CNA for sometime I will decide if I want to go on to school to become a RN.

Welcome, Amber!

You've made a good career choice (in my mind), and I encourage you to go on to nursing school. There are so many options for nurses right now.

If you're able to get into a program (it's very competitive at this point due to a lack of professors and more students that schools can handle), you will have many jobs to choose from. I don't see how the nursing field can do anything but grow as the population continues to age and baby-boomers retire.

Thanks for introducing yourself!

Keith

I agree with NurseKeith. Nursing is a great way to go. Weigh your options and talk to people. Request informational interviews with nurses who seem open to talking. Someone you know must know someone who knows a nurse. Ask questions and look for the answers to your questions. Choosing nursing is a smart move at this time in history....
