Hello to all--I am Jerry, but my screen name here is hafajc, which is derived from the several years that I spent in Guam--where "hafa" is short for hello--and "jc" is my initials.

I have been a nurse for 38 years (LVN 7 years, RN for the last 31 years). Prior to that (and after) I was a Navy Hospital Corpsman and an EMT-P. The ER is where I called home for many years, but I have done just about every other form of nursing except L&D (which was never a very warm & fuzzy place for me...)

For the past several years I have been a teacher, and have taught in F2F LVN, ADN, and BSN programs. I additionally teach online (for a couple of schools) in RN-to-BSN programs, which I love.
