My hosp prepays tuition for courses up to 5,000 per year and you have to work off the payment. you have to repay if you get a d or worse. There is little/noincrease in pay but it does increase your maketability.

Yes, marketability is key at this point in time. I think it's worth it to get a BSN.

My hospital reimburses up to $2500 per year for an undergrad degree, up to $5000 per year for a post grad degree. There's no obligation to stay there for the undergrad tuition reimbursement, but if you use the post grad money then you agree to remain employed there for 2 years following the date you complete the degree. Obviously, you have to get a C or better in order to qualify for that reimbursement - they never pay fees up front.

In addition, the Medical Staff and Auxiliary have scholarship money available, usually up to $1000 per award, on an annual basis. Every little bit helps.

That's great. Too bad more employers don't see what a good investment that is.

So let me get this straight, for a 4 semester AD to BSN program you have to be willing to sign up for four years?

I prefer to think that marketability should have little to do with education. We go to school to learn our craft, become better at our craft and therefore are better professionals. As nurses we are pretty marketable, but as professional we are not quite there yet.
