A more thorough introduction 6 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 1
All I did was say Hi before but everyone else seems to be giving more stuff so here goes.......

I'm Tracey and work 12 hour nights in a non surgical cardiac ICU in a community hosp. Though I have only about 6 weeks left there and then I start a new position called a resource nurse. It basically will involve being a resource to the floor nurses along with being on the code team, BAT team (acute strokes) and MET team (medical emergencies or pre-code situations). I live for adreneline situations so it is perfect for me!! I have been in CCU for 7 1/2 years so it is time for a change.

I just started blogging a few weeks ago. I have a nsg blog at http://nighttimenursing.blogspot.com
I have thoroughly enjoyed it and really started it as a way to give off a bit of the stress from nsg. We have been short staffed (who isn't) and quite busy lately and a alot of the time I leave pretty stressed. I figured if I could get some of it off my chest then it would help. I also wanted to have a way to remember some of the more special patients and stories.

I have another blog at http://jennysmspi.blogspot.com and it journals my daughter's journey with MSPI and a laryngeal cleft. I also started a website on MSPI (milk soy protein intolerance) that is purely informative at http://mspikids.info and if any of you nurses or NP's come across kids with MSPI you are welcome to spread it on.

I'm happily married and a mommy to 3 great kiddos. That's pretty much me in a nutshell!!

As to what else I'd like to see on here............I like what i see so far. I'll let you know if I come up with anything in the future!!

Tracey,

A very warm welcome, and thanks for more information and a little of your life story....That is what we want to do here---share resources and stories!

I have blogrolled you on my blog, Digital Doorway (http://digitaldoorway.blogspot.com), and I hope you know you are listed on Nurse LinkUp's list of links, under the heading of "Nurse Bloggers".

Hope to see you around the site!

Best,
